Hallelujah!

Well, this project only took 2 1/2 years to accomplish. No more running out of hot water, no more turning on the water heater when we need water, no more turning it off before I go to bed! Curt says I won't get any exercise any more--but I still need to do the laundry!
Curt and Dan getting the water heater hooked up.
There's Dan--hookin' us up!

I am so grateful Dan found his way down to our house after 2 1/2 years! I won't know how to act! Lacey, Chris, and Cashelle--no more turning off the water heater for me on those late nights. No more fan making a loud racket! I'm in 7th Heaven!

Curt's 65th Birthday, September 11

Curt turned 65 today so I've been planning for weeks to give him a surprise party--and was he ever surprised! I sent out invitations over a week ago. I invited 9 couples--they were all able to come but one couple (Joe & Joan, Wally & Gail, Denise & Francis, Donny & Leigh Ann, Kendall & Sherry & Braxton, Gail & Pam, Dale & Kay, Kelly & Leslie. John & Barbara couldn't come--it was his sister's birthday celebration in Provo). We had barbecued turkey, salads, rolls, baked beans, dutch oven potatoes, and cake and ice cream, of course. I have never seen Curt in a situation where he was at a loss for words--it was priceless. He REALLY had no clue. Joe, Wally, and Donny took Curt out to the golf course this afternoon so I could get everything set up. It was all worth it.

This is Curt right after he got to the house and saw all the people. When they were getting closer to home, Joe said Curt said "What the hell's going on over at Granny's?" Joe about split a gut. As you can see from the one picture, Curt was so shocked he flipped me the bird! That's gratitude for ya!
Here are the black balloons flying from the garage. Curt didn't even notice them when he first got there--he was so flabbergasted he didn't know what to say!

Isn't that a cute cake! John Deere--he always wanted a tractor like that!
