Pre-Christmas 2010

At the Duncan Christmas party, waiting for turns to talk to Santa. More Duncans. The Duncans do NOT like Top Stop, can you tell?
Madalynn talking to Santa.
Spencer wasn't too sure what to think about Santa this year. He wants to take his present and go.
Audrey's not happy to visit with Santa, is she?
Thomas taking his turn.
Jayleigh NOT taking her turn. She didn't like him at all. She almost made it to him, then turned and ran the other direction.
Granny with Santa. Just before Santa arrived, we had to call the ambulance. She had been sick all week and passed out--everyone caught it. It was a 24-hour bug for most of us, but hers hung on for days. Not long after this picture, Kelly took her to the hospital. They kept her overnight because she was dehydrated. I'm glad she is doing better now.
At our annual family Christmas weekend. We went to St. George this year--much, much, much nicer than last year. Last year was too cold and snowy to do anything. The boys (Curt, Chris, Landon, and A.J.) went golfing while we took the kids to the park to play. On Saturday night we went to the Tuacahn Theater to see the Live Nativity, ride the train, and visit with Santa. We had a wonderful weekend. Two years ago is when we started the tradition--we went to Salt Lake.
Another group picture of all my grandkids. Aren't they just the cutest!?!? I love them all so much.
I had to put on all three pictures so that there was at least one good picture of everyone.
At the Tuacahn waiting for the Live Nativity to begin.

Seven grandkids in Santa's sleigh at the Holiday Inn in St. George. We had so much fun. When we weren't out doing things, we were swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub.

Amanda's baptism day.

In November, Amanda decided it was time to be baptized. We are so proud of her and her decision. It was a very special, emotional day. Cashelle and A.J. gave her scriptures; Lacey and Landon gave her a scripture case. We bought her a new dress for her baptism day. We also bought her a CTR necklace.
Chris's present made her cry. The first picture was a picture of the Manti Temple.
This is the picture . . . .
He also bought her this plaque. The words really say it all.
Family picture at the Stake Center.
Amanda's two missionaries.
Amanda with the missionaries. Also a picture of A.J., a brother-in-law, that baptized her. Curt performed the confirmation the next day in their ward. It was such a wonderful day! The spirit was so strong. We are so proud of you, Amanda. We love you so much.

Family Fun

Cashelle and A.J.'s Kids ready to go to church. Aren't they just the cutest? The whole family!
One night when Jayleigh and Cody were at our house, the kids wanted to build a "landing pad" for when they jumped off the couch. Many blankets were put in place.
Lacey got in the action on this one.
Cody on his way over.
Cody in midair with Jayleigh not far behind.
Superman, Cody! (Watch out below, Jayleigh!)
Jayleigh swinging her arms and counting before she jumped.
Carter, what a cute face. I just want to kiss it!
Jayleigh "cheesing" it for the camera.
Two more "cheese" faces.
What a mischevious look on your face, Cody.

Update coming this weekend (I hope!)

I have been a slacker lately. Last post was in September?!?! School just keeps me too dang busy. When I get home, the last thing I want to do is be on a computer--since I'm on a computer all day at school. Don't give up on me . . . .

July 24th weekend/Jayleigh's 1st hair cut.

The weekend of July 24th, Pioneer Day, we attended a parade, and Cashelle planned a special 24th of July Family Home Evening. I just love it when the family gets together! Here are the kids waiting for the parade in Spring City to start. Out in the road, picking up thrown candy.
Spencer was getting the hang of it.
Cody watching for the floats with candy.
Cody taking his turn making cream into butter for our Family Home Evening Cashelle planned.
Thomas shakin' it up.
Madalynn in her pioneer dress making butter.
Where are you Audrey?
Spencer taking his turn.
Grammy got to take a turn, too.
Cashelle telling about the pioneer relatives we have while A.J. makes butter in the background.
After the lesson, we went to the cemetary to visit some of the pioneer graves we talked about.
Pioneer girls.
Looking at pioneer graves.
This is at Chris/Amanda's house. Carter in his jumper--he loves it.
I had to post this picture of Cody learning to use his potty chair. Notice how he is learning early to read while doing the duty.
Carol gave Jayleigh her very first haircut. Both of her grandmas got to watch.
Do I have to go through all of this to look beautiful?
Maybe a sucker will take your mind off the task at hand.
Ta-da!
