July 24th weekend/Jayleigh's 1st hair cut.

The weekend of July 24th, Pioneer Day, we attended a parade, and Cashelle planned a special 24th of July Family Home Evening. I just love it when the family gets together! Here are the kids waiting for the parade in Spring City to start. Out in the road, picking up thrown candy.
Spencer was getting the hang of it.
Cody watching for the floats with candy.
Cody taking his turn making cream into butter for our Family Home Evening Cashelle planned.
Thomas shakin' it up.
Madalynn in her pioneer dress making butter.
Where are you Audrey?
Spencer taking his turn.
Grammy got to take a turn, too.
Cashelle telling about the pioneer relatives we have while A.J. makes butter in the background.
After the lesson, we went to the cemetary to visit some of the pioneer graves we talked about.
Pioneer girls.
Looking at pioneer graves.
This is at Chris/Amanda's house. Carter in his jumper--he loves it.
I had to post this picture of Cody learning to use his potty chair. Notice how he is learning early to read while doing the duty.
Carol gave Jayleigh her very first haircut. Both of her grandmas got to watch.
Do I have to go through all of this to look beautiful?
Maybe a sucker will take your mind off the task at hand.
Ta-da!

Cody's 3rd birthday

Cody turned 3 in August--man my grandkids are getting too old!!! Amanda had a wonderful party planned. The kids had a blast--so did the adults. Before the party the kids all came swimming at our hotel. They had so much fun. Jayleigh loved the water. The birthday boy.
Sittin' in the hot tub. I was finally able to soak my poor sore foot (surgery in June--doctor says it will take a year for it to get better--yuck!).
One of the little fishes.
Carter even got to get wet.
Jumping to mommy.
Cashelle's fam, except for Spencer. He really didn't like the water very much.
Jumping in.
This was not long before Thomas' near death experience. I swear, he isn't afraid of anything.
Chillin'.
At the party in Chris/Amanda's new back yard spraying colored water on white T-shirts.
I think the biggest kid had the most fun.
Blowing out the candles.

Fishing at Ferron

The weekend before school started, Chris/Amanda and family, Lacey/Landon and family, Curt and I, and the dogs went up the canyon to Ferron to fish for a while. Here's Chris showing Cody how to bait a hook. I don't think Cody is paying attention to daddy. Hey! I think I saw a fish out there!
I'd much rather sleep.
Landon filling up his bubble.
Skinny Lacey trying her hand fishing.
Amanda in the sun.
Who's that?
Waiting for the big one.
Lucky and Brown. The next day Lucky was so sick she almost died. She got poisoned with rat poisoning and spent two nights in the vet hospital. I'm so glad she is better.
Who is this bearded man?!?!
Learning from #1.
Jayleigh copying Grandpa.
Cody and Brown playing in the weeds.

Sanpete County Fair 2010

For the Sanpete County Fair this year, Cashelle/A.J. and their family came down and Chris/Amanda and their family came up. We did the "Fun on the Farm" with the kids, went to the Demolition Derby, Rodeo, and Parade. It was so much fun. This is Carter eyeing the corn--doesn't he look hungry? Thomas, Madalynn, and Audrey--my little flowers.
Cody, Chris, Spencer, and A.J.--my other little flowers.

Madalynn taking a turn milking the cow at "Down on the Farm."

Cody was "udderly" enthralled to try his hand at milking a cow.
Audrey "haulin' hay" with Thomas in the background with his basket.
Cody taking his turn hauling hay.
Can't leave out Thomas.
Or Spencer . . . .
What a cute pair.
Isn't Audrey just the cutest little farm girl?
Ridin' a buckin' bronc.
Cody, the cow roper.
Thomas taking a turn.
"Bee man."
OK--this wasn't down on the farm--but this was the kiddos just before their primary program. They all did a very nice job singing and speaking.
The rest of the family.
