Out of the Cow Business

Well, it is official. We are now out of the cow business. It's kind of sad, but I know it's going to be less work for Curt--that's for sure. The calves were sold last week--the cows were taken down Monday of this week to the auction. I've felt kind of melancholy about it for the last week or two now. It's the end of an era. This picture above is "Orangie" watching Curt walk away from her last rub. She had become a family favorite. One day Curt started rubbing her and she decided she really liked it. She loved Curt. He would give her back rubs all the time.
Here is "Orangie" getting her last massage. Look how much she enjoys it.

National Finals Rodeo--Las Vegas

This is just part of the 100+ horses and riders that come into the arena for the Grand Entry.
An Elvis impersonator in the opening act Friday night, December 7.
Rodney Atkins sang "If You're Going Through Hell . . ." for the opening act on Thursday night, December 6.
This is looking at the "Tank" at the Golden Nugget. In the pool, there is a waterslide (tube) that goes right through the middle of a shark tank. It's pretty awesome. Curt and I stayed at the Golden Nugget two nights to attend the National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV. We really had a great time.
Another view of the waterslide tube that goes through the middle of the shark tank. If you look right in the middle, you can see the waterslide.

Here is Cody playing in his new Christmas toy--a Jumperoo (I think that's what they call it). He had a blast. You could tell he was totally enjoying himself. Look at how he is watching the animals so closely.

Now, all of the videos I downloaded should be working. Check them out.
