Easter 2010 (on 2 separate weekends)

Easter weekend was a bummer this year. It was so cold and rainy, we couldn't do our usual things. Cashelle's kids got to go the the city park and do the annual Easter egg hunt. I was with Madalynn--Cashelle went with the younger kids. We had to spread the festivities over a couple of weekends, as you will see.

Coloring eggs!

As you can see from the coats, it was a pretty chilly Saturday. Lila and her family were able to come. Cashelle and her family were here, too.

If you look closely, you see Jayleigh and Cody having a "sleepover" at Cody's house. They actually did really well. Curt and I gave the kids some little light up chickens.

The next weekend, we went down to spend Easter with the rest of the family. Where we rolled eggs, there was this huge pipe. The kids are smiling now--but they weren't smiling when Lacey and I pushed the pipe to give them a ride.

They aren't too sure--Lacey and I got in and had Curt and Chris give us a ride, too.

Chris built a really nice trail. And we had TONS of eggs since Cashelle and A.J. forgot to take theirs home. It was still pretty cold. What crazy weather we have been having!

This is another weekend. Thomas stayed with us for the week while Cashelle and A.J. went to California to go house hunting. We had fun with him here. I would take him to school with me and then Curt would pick him up about 8:30. Then he would bring him back about 2:30 and then I would take him back home with me. We took Thomas with us to Cedar to visit for the weekend. He and Cody had so much fun.

Yes, another move. Lacey and Landon are moving to Elsinore. She has a new job in Richfield. So Curt drove Shamu down and we pulled this trailer back full. Landon's dad owns the trailer. Lots of changing goin' on in our lives right now.

Lacey, you goon!

Curt and his building projects (sigh)

Yes, Curt decided he needed another shed. Do we have more junk to store than anyone else, or what? We had quite the crew helping with the cement: Curt, Landon, Chris, Wes, Kendall, and Russell (Kendell's borther-in-law).

Gotta get the hand prints in. Here's Cody.

Carter,

Jayleigh,

Spencer,

Tommy,

Audrey,

and Madalynn.

Putting the shed together on the cured cement. We had a family party that day. I'm sure the crew putting up the shed didn't know they were going to be critiqued by spectators. They even ended up having lunch with us. In fact, one funny--the workers didn't speak much English. One of the younger men had to use the restroom. He asked one of the older guys to find out what kind of toilet paper we buy. He loved it! It was Charmin, of course! Now there's a good commercial.

Celebrating 3 birthday parties! (Well, 4 actually)

I really need to get the dating feature on my camera fixed. I have the day before the month....

In February, we celebrated three birthdays at once. Audrey turned 7, Jayleigh turned 2, and Carter turned 1. I made one huge birthday cake and each one got to blow out their own candles. It was really kind of fun. Here's Audrey diving into one of her presents. Jayleigh carefully opening one of hers . . .

And Carter getting one of his open with big brother's help.

Isn't that just the cutest little face.

Carter's birthday candle was in the middle.

Jayleigh's two little candles . . .

And Audrey's seven candles. Look at how Cody is trying to help her blow.

Carter just LOVES cake. Can you tell?

This is the favorite place for the grandkids. When they sleep over, they always gather in grandma and grandpa's bed in the morning to watch cartoons.

Rub a dub dub, four kids in a tub. Wow, Jayleigh--what happened to your hair?

Grandpa and Cody doin' the dishes.

Look at all those candles! This cake was for Chris's birthday. You're gettin' too old, man!
