Kjar Clean Up--2011

Every year since Grandpa Kjar died we have been gathering as a family and cleaning Grandma Kjar's yard. Then we gather for a barbecue at our house. We set up two canopies and John brought one, too. I wish I had taken some pictures of the finished yard and of all the people working. We really had a great crew show up this year, and we got a lot of work done.

Camping on the "Face"--Labor Day 2011

Our annual camping trip was great this year. Because of all the wet weather, we didn't dare try to go to our usual spot. Scott was kind enough to let us camp on the "Face." It was perfect. This is Curt's rig job for the antenna for his TV. It worked well up there. (Can't go camping without a TV!) The clan around the campfire.

The kids had a blast with the little cheap game we bought at Wal-Mart last year.

Spencer LOVED all the dogs. Here he is with Brandy. One afternoon Kathy, Larry, Cami, and Angie (and their kids) came to visit. Spencer especially loved Emma--Angie's little chihuahua (how in the heck do you spell that???--I don't think that's right). Anyway, Spenner chased her under the table and A.J. reached down to save the little chocolate dog. She grabbed for his arm and hung on for dear life. She was grateful to A.J. for saving her.

This was Cashelle and A.J.'s house. We had our trailer for us, our little trailer for Chris's family, and Lacey and Landon brought their own.

"Roughing it" inside the trailer--watching a movie.

Thomas was engrossed.

Don't the kids just LOVE this movie (adults, too)?

We drove up to the pines on the Face. The valley looked so beautiful and green.

Amanda with the kids in the back--what she does best. I honestly don't know how she does it. She is so good with kids, and they love her so much.

4-wheelin'

Cody fell asleep on the ride down the canyon.

Curt thought it was time for the older girls to learn how to drive. Here's Audrey taking her dad for a spin.

Madalynn taking her Grandpa for a ride.

Chris taking Cody and Thomas for a ride.

We had SO much fun. Thanks, Scott!
