This was a very different Easter this year. Usually, all the Kjar families get together and "roll" Easter eggs on Saturday and have a great picnic lunch. This year Cashelle, A.J. and family were in Brigham City for a cousin's wedding, Lacey and Landon went out to the sand dunes (We went last year for a while and it was a blast.), and Chris and Amanda were in Cedar City. Curt and I were sick and tired of the "North Pole" (what we have been calling Sanpete County this winter) so we ventured south. We stayed at Chris and Amanda's Friday and Saturday night. While we were there, we went to the Easter car show in Hurricane. Curt loved this car and wanted a picture of it. It is one like he used to own. Here is Cody with his Easter basket. He was so cute. He didn't know what was really going on but he had a fun time. The Easter bunny even brought Curt and I a basket--something we weren't expecting at all. It was really nice. You also notice Oliver got in on this picture.
Here is Cody playing with one of the cute little toys in his basket. He is getting so big!
Sunday night Curt and I had reservations in Mesquite to catch some real sun. We had a very nice time. We had the whole next week to look forward to with spring break. On the way home we stopped in to see Lacey at work (we went through Chris and Landon's job--it was fun to see them at work from the freeway). Chris actually hitched a ride home with us because Amanda had a terrible migraine and Cody had been sick with a virus, the little trooper. Anyway, we went to see Lacey at work--she looked so nice in her office clothes. Then we took her out to lunch. I was sorry we weren't able to make a connection with Landon.
We went home on Monday and then on Wednesday decided to go to Cashelle's to spend the night. The kids were way excited to see us. I forgot my camera!?!? I was so mad. On the way up, (we went the way west of Nephi) we saw a couple of herds of antelope and as we crested a hill, there were five of them right close to the road. We stopped (one was a buck; the other four were does) and Curt talked to them. I couldn't believe I didn't have my camera! Never before had I seen antlope up so close! I still had my cell phone, though! So I snapped the picture, looked at it, and shut the camera--of course before I had saved it! Man!!! What an idiot! That will teach me to leave my camera home. We had a nice visit with Cashelle and the kids. (We missed A.J., too. He was at work.) Now we have three more days to be at home before we need to be back in school again. Only 40 more school days left!!!!!
Welcome to Curt and Becky's blog site. Our oldest daughter, Cashelle, married A.J. in May of 2001, and they have four children--Madalynn, Audrey, Thomas, and Spencer. Our son, Chris, has two sons, Cody and Carter. Lacey, our youngest daughter, married Landon in May of 2007. They have a daughter and a son, Jayleigh and Easton. We love our family!

Don't Forget Your Helmet!
Friday night we decided to spend the night at Cashelle's because Regina's baby shower was on Saturday. On Saturday morning it was finally warm enough for the kids to play outside for a little while. Cashelle says that Thomas won't play without wearing his helmet. So, I thought I'd grab a few "helmet" pictures. Here's Thomas with his helmet.
Audrey with a cheesy grin.
Madalynn on her new bike.
On our way home we stopped at Sam's Club and bought Curt some waders so he can go fishing with his buddies. I snapped a picture of him trying them on.
