2007 Deer Hunt

Here's Chris--all decked out and ready to go. Amanda has found out what it means to get a husband ready for the hunt. They are CRAZY the day they go up the mountain. As you can tell, Chris is excited to go camping with his dad and the rest of the hunting crew.
While the guys were hunting, we had a bit of a storm. On the way down the canyon, Curt took this picture at Yearns (great picture, Curt!) that shows steam coming off the water. If you look hard, you can see a spot in the water where a fish has jumped and left a ripple.
Here is the famous deer hunting site. Just look at those trailers--in the snow! It can't be a deer hunt without the snow. They have great fun. But, Amanda and I were glad to stay at home and play with Cody.
Here is the deer hunting crew: Beau, Brent, Joe, Mike, Wally, Jared, Kyle, Chris, Brice, and Ryan. Curt was taking the picture so he couldn't be in it. Doesn't that look like fun???!!! Curt had the wild idea to cook prime rib to take up to camp. So we bought three prime rib roasts (we cooked two and are saving one in the freezer for Christmas), cooked them at home, and then Curt took them up to the camp. I think every single one of the crew mentioned it was the best meal they had eaten at camp yet (it ought to be). One even said he pays good money for prime rib that wasn't nearly as good as this one was.
This is Curt and Chris after the snow storm standing in front of our trailer. They said it was pretty cold. Luckily they were able to get all of the trailers out on Monday.

Now you can see why I go shopping on the deer hunt. When I was crazy I used to go hunt with Jerry. I've gotten smart since those days.
