Pioneer Day Weekend at the "Tar Pots"

OK, this picture is way out of order. Misty and Heather didn't want me to see their face.
For Pioneer Day Weekend, we had a lot of fun. We went fishing, got three loads of wood, went to Elsinore to see Landon's family fireworks, rode in the mountains, etc. We stopped at Community up Ephraim Canyon and Cody tried his hand at fishing. Notice the picture below--he caught one!

Chris tried to get Cody to hold the fish for the picture but he would have nothing of that. We could barely get him to say "cheese." He is watching that fish to make sure it wouldn't "get" him.
Dakota came fishing with us. He brought his own pole. When Chris threw it out for him the first time it didn't go too far out. Dakota told Chris to "hold on the button longer--that's how my dad does it."
Dakota, you're so cute.
Curt showing Dakota something on the other side of the pond.

Grandpa Curt helping Carter to fish, too.
This picture cracks me up. Peek-a-boo, Dakota, where are you? I wish I had taken a video of Carter walking over to the 4-wheeler with that helmet on. He could hardly hold his head up.
Much better picture. We can see Dakota this time. Just after I took this picture, Chris and the boys were driving off. Curt's truck wouldn't start. So Chris brought the boys back, he went down to get some help from camp--they were all gone so he brought back Brice's truck. In the meantime, Curt tried the truck again--it started. We passed Chris on the way down, right after he passed a motor home so he could get up to us quicker.
Mr. Lumberjack himself, sawing wood to load in the truck.

Dakota was in the hammock when "Precious" jumped up on him. It was cute.
Dave brought Granny and Kelly up for the afternoon.
