Curt took some nice pictures of the flowers around Disneyland. Not many people probably even notice them. The top picture is Walt Disney in front of Cinderella's castle. Audrey and Jayleigh on one of the little rides.
We all boarded the Buzz Lightyear ride. Just after it started, it broke down, so we had to climb out of our little cars and walk back. That was a random thing to happen.
Just before we climbed out....
More pretty flowers.
Carter waiting for Jayleigh to visit the fairies. The surrounding flowers were big to make you feel small. He really didn't care about the fairies too much.
Jayleigh got to meet her all-time favorite, Tinkerbell.
Audrey with Tinkerbell.
Carter was having a blast chasing the ducks.
This is Tinkerbell's arch enemy--sorry I can't remember her name. She called Tinkerbell "Stinkerbelle" and said she was a booger in a green dress.
In line to see the princesses. The rest of the crew went to Pirates of the Carribean while Lacey, Jayleigh, Audrey, and I went to see the princesses.
Tiana (is that her name?). I'm not much of a fairy grandma, am I.
Belle....
Ariel.....
I caught a glimpse of Cinderella as she was running through the park. She wouldn't stop--I guess they can't.
Mickey Mouse hugging on Jayleigh.
Jayleigh had a little autograph book that she had a lot of the characters sign. It was so cute.
Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo--there's Tigger!
Jayleigh and Ariel again--I'm having a hard time keeping these in the right order.
Chris, Amanda, Cody, and Carter with Lightning McQueen and Mater.
We even found Sully--Cody was a little bit nervous around him.
After Disneyland--can you say pooped? Lol.
We went on a lot of rides I didn't get pictures of. Some of my favorites: Soaring California, Splash Mountain, and the Screamer (roller coaster). One of my NOT so favorite rides: Hollywood Tower of Terror. It scared me! I also really liked Crush Talk, Crush even talked to Madalynn and Audrey. It was a wonderfully busy day. The night before Disneyland, this is the group that stayed at Cashelle's: Cashelle, A.J., Madalynn, Audrey, Thomas, Spencer; Curt and I; Chris, Amanda, Cody, and Carter; Lacey and Jayleigh; Verne and Nancy; Rue, Heidi, and their two boys. We really had a houseful!
Welcome to Curt and Becky's blog site. Our oldest daughter, Cashelle, married A.J. in May of 2001, and they have four children--Madalynn, Audrey, Thomas, and Spencer. Our son, Chris, has two sons, Cody and Carter. Lacey, our youngest daughter, married Landon in May of 2007. They have a daughter and a son, Jayleigh and Easton. We love our family!

Audrey's Baptism
We were so lucky to be able to attend Audrey's baptism. Curt and I rented a car in Cedar City so that Chris, Amanda, Cody, Carter, Lacey, and Jayleigh could all travel with us. Thanks, Audrey, for having such a special day we could all be a part of. We were sad Landon couldn't be with us--maybe next time.
Chris, Amanda, Cody, and Carter with Audrey on her special day.
Audrey's family.
Grandpa and Grandma with Audrey.
Audrey had a little display set up.
A. J. performed the baptism and confirmation. Curt and Verne served as witnesses. For the little program beforehand, Madalynn was the chorister for the musical numbers. She did a great job! Rue offered the opening prayer; I gave a talk on baptism, then we watched her special video that Cashelle had prepared. There wasn't a dry eye in the place. Then the ordinance was performed after which Nancy gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. The Primary Presidency came to welcome her as a new member of the church and then Chris gave the closing prayer. It was a very nice day.

La Jolla Beach
After Audrey's baptism, we traveled down to La Jolla to the beach. The seals were sunning themselves. There's that cute Madalynn gathering things.
Jayleigh enjoying her time. She was kind of afraid of the water since the waves came in and got her wet right off the bat.
Cody had a blast. He did some exploring of a little cave that was there.
More seals....
The kids had a blast going inside this cave.
Thomas looking for something in the tide pools.
Lacey, Cashelle, Curt, and I. Chris and Amanda were visiting her family for the afternoon, so they didn't go to the beach. We brought Cody so he could go, and then we dropped him off on our way back home.
Curt will never keep a smiling face when we take pictures. This is a prime example; he cracks me up. Cashelle is always telling him to just look at the camera and smile--don't talk or anything or this is what happens.
Not too bad on this one.
Spencer loved chasing the birds on the shore.

Super Bowl Party California Style
Can you say calorie overload? We had the superest of Super Bowl parties in California this year. Absolutely no one should have gone away hungry. Look at all this stuff! Tailgate party California style for sure. And thank heavens, our team won. Way to go Giants! This top picture is yummy shrimp dip which got eaten before the party started. After the Super Bowl, the kids and Lacey decided to do some hot tubbin'.
Strawberries dipped in chocolate and frosted to look like footballs.
I think Audrey thinks I'm a little weird.
The counter top was full.....
Verne did most of the onions--he could hardly see by the time he was done. They were dipped into a flower mixture and deep fried. They were so good!
Frosted cupcakes.....
Audrey was our plate decorator for this one.
All the cooks in the kitchen. Everybody helped do something.
The yummy onions. I can't remember what they were called, but they were so good!
This was a cheesecake topped with peanut butter cups.
Little smokies and bread we dipped in a dip.
Lol at Spencer. While everyone was getting ready, he decided to drive to the party. What a memorable Super Bowl we had!
