The girls loved this part of the museum. They learned how to use a dial-up phone. In the display case was all the old workings to get the phone to work. On the phone on the left you dialed, then the phone on the right would ring. But as you dialed you could watch all the old switching that took place to place a phone call.
Granny and Tommy sitting on a bench at the museum. Granny trapsed up the old cement stairs to see the old museum displays. Her dad worked for the Green Thumb project that did a lot of work at the museum.
Sitting on the bench, waiting for Cashelle to exit the museum. It was fascinating. You could spend hours and hours there. After the museum we all went to McDonald's for lunch. The kids LOVED being able to play on the McDonald's playground.
Egg coloring time--here's Audrey working on one with Chris in the background.
Cody had a really fun time learning how to dye the eggs.
Madalynn getting ready to dunk one.
Tommy got more on his hands than the eggs, I think.
What a fun day!
The Easter Bunny visited the kids on Saturday instead of Sunday because Cashelle's family had to leave on Saturday. This is Cody with his Easter basket. He learned how to do an Easter egg hunt this year--in the rain!
Jayleigh and her Easter basket.
Thomas picking up eggs during the egg hunt.
Audrey filling her basket . . . .
Madalynn is behind the lilac bush if you look really hard. Click on the picture and you can see an egg in the lilac bushes. Sorry Madalynn, I didn't want to get my camera wet.
Lacey fixed Jayleigh's hair with gel. It looked so cute! It is cute, huh Landon?
Saturday we had a family picnic at our house. The kids really enjoyed the trampoline . . . .
and the wagon--I think they all got a turn. And the little 4-wheeler which I didn't get a picture of. Chris has a little 4-wheeler that he let all the kids have a turn driving.
Since it was so cold outside, we set up tables inside in the garage. It really worked out nice. John did three dutch ovens of a chicken stew that was to die for!
In the garage . . . .
More in the garage . . . .
In the garage . . . .
and in the house, too. We had a houseful.
After lunch, we braved the weather and went out west to roll Easter eggs. We found a nice steep hill, the men dug the trenches, and away the eggs went.
This is only a few of the family rolling eggs. The kids had a blast until Becky tried to throw an egg at Chris and hit Alexa instead. I'm sorry, Alexa! The eggshell even cut her cheek--that's the last time I try to throw an egg with kids around!
Rolling, rolling, rolling . . . . keep those eggs a-rolling . . . .
